Elizabeth McGrath
“With Tomorrow's Scream”

Reception: Wednesday, September 7th, from 6 to 8 pm
Exhibition: September 8 through October 8, 2011

Sloan Fine Art is pleased to present “With Tomorrow's Scream,” by Elizabeth McGrath.

Elizabeth McGrath follows up her spectacular three-dimensional project “The Folly of St. Hubertus,” with “With Tomorrow’s Scream,” a collection of brightly colored, complex, mixed media two-dimensional works. Each piece, installed in the intimate project room space, tells a story of magical creatures and fantastic adventure. When considered in it’s entirely, this new body of work, created shortly after the birth of her first child, is a joyful celebration of the spectacle of life, the mystery of the unknown and the promise of the future.

Self-taught, Elizabeth McGrath has exhibited extensively in galleries and museums in the US and Europe including the American Visionary Art Museum and the Bristol City Museum and Gallery. She lives in Downtown Los Angeles with her husband, the artist Morgan Slade, their daughter Sadie Valentine Slade and hairless Chihuahuas Blue and King Tut.
